Each Watermelon Tourmaline fragment is different from one another and no two are alike, therefore in creating each pair, I painstakingly did my best to match each pair of earrings for size and shape.
These earrings are designed for woman who appreciate the Japanese philosophy of Wabi-Sabi. Wabi-Sabi is about embracing transience and imperfection. Its aesthetic is sometimes described as one of appreciating beauty that is 'imperfect, impermanent, and incomplete in nature. It is prevalent throughout all forms of Japanese art. Characteristics of wabi-sabi aesthetics and principles include asymmetry, roughness, simplicity, modesty and the appreciation of both natural objects and the forces of nature. Wabi-Sabi is the view or thought of finding beauty in every aspect of imperfection in nature.
The wire wrapping on my designs is never pre-fabricated or purchased in bulk. I meticulously and thoughtfully wrap each design.
